"LebendDurchführung is a very direct translation of the english live performance.
In these pieces, forming a series since 2005, I try to combine the spontaneous unrestricted expression of improvisation in the loneliness of the studio, with the planned restrictive formal implications of composition in the loneliness of the studio.
Most of the pieces were inspired by literature, philosophy and theatre, like: Living Theatre, Marguerite Duras, Oswald Wiener, Slavoj Žižek, Frank Castorf, René Pollesch, Sigmund Freud, Simone Weil, Maxim Gorki... This sounds difficult, but is mostly meant as a battery.
A connection between the pieces is formed by music based on the sound of a no-input-cassette-recorder, with which I have to deal in any piece... The rest is free (at the beginning)."
